Teaching

Michael Underwood is an experienced and versatile woodwind teacher with a wide range of teaching skills.

With experience teaching in a university, schools, for music services and private 1 to 1 tuition, Michael has entered many students for ABRSM classical and jazz examinations with 100% success rate of distinctions at Grade 8.

Michael can provide tuition in the following disciplines:

• Saxophone ( Jazz, Classical and Pop)

• Flute (Jazz and classical)

• Clarinet (Jazz and classical)

• Music Theory

• Improvisation (Jazz and Pop)

• Songwriting (Pop and Jazz)

• Workshops/Masterclasses

Michael holds either one to one or regular lessons at his home in South East London at an hourly rate of £40 an hour. Teaching away from home means the rate varies depending on travel time.

Michael also teaches online via Zoom and Facetime at a rate of £40 an hour.
